WE'VE HELPED OVER 3,000 ARTISTS!
Art embodies the rich tapestry of human expression, spanning from music and dance to literature and film. It serves as the nexus where we converge to exchange experiences, ideas, perspectives, and dreams.
In essence, we are all artists. Some indulge in it casually, finding joy in self-expression, while others aspire to make it their life’s work. Regardless of where you fall on this spectrum, we aim to empower you with the necessary tools, skills, community, and freedom to unleash your creativity to its utmost potential.

Create your own method. Don't depend slavishly on mine. Make up something that will work for you! But keep breaking traditions, I beg you.
Konstantin Stanislavski, The Father Of Every Modern Acting Technique
In Atlanta, we’re fortunate to have a plethora of outstanding instructors whose wealth of experience and knowledge has greatly enriched our community. However, despite this abundance of expertise, we feel that the creative community’s needs remain underserved. That’s why we’re charting a new course.
While we respect the wisdom and efficacy of traditional teaching methods, we’re committed to carving out a space where creativity flourishes through hands-on exploration and experimentation.
Our approach is centered around creation rather than mere instruction – it’s about actively engaging in the process rather than passively learning how to do so. Every session with us is an opportunity for something entirely new to come into existence. Here’s what you can expect from each Two Hour Session:
Rather than having an instructor dictate every aspect of your creative journey – from what you’ll do to how and when you’ll do it, and even whether you’re doing it right – we believe in empowering individuals to take control.
Each person possesses the innate ability to determine their own pace, intensity, and direction. You understand your needs better than anyone else. You know when to push yourself and when to pause for a moment of respite. You’re keenly aware of your strengths and areas that require attention.
Our philosophy is rooted in trust and respect for your autonomy. We’re here to support and facilitate your journey, not to impose rigid guidelines or limitations. Your creative path is yours to navigate, and we’re honored to accompany you on this self-directed exploration.
The performing arts, like running, don’t necessarily require instruction; rather, they demand cultivation. Even before we could articulate our thoughts verbally, we instinctively engaged in imaginative play, sought laughter, and effortlessly created stories with our toys.
While many educators present themselves as the sole path to success, we hold a deep respect for the autonomy and inherent potential of every student. No teacher can practice for you or endow you with skills any more than another can lift weights and give you the muscles.
We view much of traditional training as overly rigid and exclusive. Learning should evoke the joy of play, not the rigidity of boot camp. That’s why our approach prioritizes the nurturing of innate abilities over enforcing strict procedural lessons reminiscent of the public school system.
Our classes resemble yoga or martial arts sessions, where individuals of all levels come together, support each other, and grow collectively. Where each session targets specific creative facets, fostering mutual growth and empowerment. Where you decide how hard, how often, and how long you want to train.
Traditional educational approaches in the arts often emphasize repetitive practice over the act of creation itself, but study after study has shown if you want to get good at pottery, don’t try to create the perfect pot; create as many pots as possible.
Within the realm of performaning arts, educational institutions are hesitant to take risks, particularly in staging original works or providing equal opportunities for all students, rather than their favorites. However, it’s essential to recognize that every great artist came from humble beginnings.
Our ethos revolves around fostering a culture of creation. We are committed to providing platforms where individuals of all levels and experiences can immerse themselves in the joy of artistic creation, free from the constraints of external validation.
Moreover, we firmly believe in nurturing individuals’ ability to discern their own strengths and areas for growth. After all, true excellence often emerges from within, and artists must develop a sense of self-assurance and autonomy in their pursuits.
In essence, our approach champions action over apprehension. We advocate for the belief that one’s true potential can only be realized through active engagement and experimentation. Through this ethos, we aim to empower individuals to unlock their latent creativity and embark on a journey of self-discovery through artistic creation.
True community isn’t about everyone conforming to a single mold. Unfortunately, many communities prioritize obedience and uniformity, fearing conflict and valuing homogeneity above all else. This stifles diversity, resulting in merely different shades of the same.
We believe it is the individual’s responsibility to develop inner security so that they can be authentically themselves in any environment rather than not being able to regulate themselves and requiring security from external sources. I am responsible for how I feel, others are not responsible for how they make me feel.
Being an artist isn’t about making everyone like you, it’s about being authentically yourself. Being able to engage with people from diverse backgrounds who might disagree with you without feeling attacked or defensive. It’s about saying what you think and being okay with people disagreeing. Being surrounded by people who disagree with us challenges us and fosters growth, despite the inevitable friction it may entail.
We all crave a space where we can authentically be ourselves, which means we have to allow others the same freedoms. Aside from physical, financial, or reputational harm, everything goes.
While traditionalists often cling to the known, we recognize that there’s always more to learn. They may prioritize pedigree and stick to what they were taught, but true greatness lies in challenging convention. In fields like psychology, neuroscience, and technology, new discoveries are made every year. That’s why we believe in embracing change, taking risks, and learning from failure.
We’re forward-thinking, constantly seeking the next breakthrough in teaching acting, improv, writing, or comedy. Rather than dictating what you should do, we’re dedicated to exploring what comes next. Innovation is our passion, collaboration is our strength, and failure is our friend. It’s in pushing boundaries that we find growth and discovery.
Our motto is to do the impossible. We’re not followers; we’re adventurers drawn to the unknown. Like pioneers, we’re unafraid to face the monsters because we know that’s where the most significant treasures lie. We encourage you to join us on this journey of exploration and innovation. When the horse was once tested, tried, and true, we want to be like those who built cars. As cars become commonplace, we want to be the ones who set their sights on building airplanes. And when airplanes become routine, we want to be like the ones building rocket ships.
When it comes to technique, there are dozens to choose from, and every instructor will advocate for why their technique is the best. They are all correct in their assertion that their technique is the best for them and those who resonate with it. However, considering our differences, we believe creativity is akin to problem-solving. Depending on the specific challenges we face, we require different tools. Moreover, other tools may work more effectively for various individuals and situations.
For instance, at its core, acting often involves portraying what one knows is artificial as if it were real. Meisner suggested drawing from one’s partner; Strasberg emphasized internal exploration, while Chekhov focused on action. Each approach has its validity.
Scientific evidence supports all of these varied approaches. For instance, one might attend a party feeling sad due to internal thoughts even though the atmosphere is happy, or they may be sad and suddenly feel joy because of the uplifting atmosphere, or we can deliberately evoke sadness through facial expressions, gestures, and making sad noises.
In our teaching, we adopt a blended style that incorporates numerous techniques. This approach aims to provide actors with a diverse toolkit while assisting them in discovering what resonates best for them in different circumstances.
Trust is not simply about believing someone's words; it's about relying on their actions. Give us an opportunity to show you how much value we can add to your creative life and if you decide we're not right for you. Just let us know and you'll recieve a full refund on your first months dues.
You are not accidental. The world needs you. Without you, something will be missing, and nobody can replace it.
Some are called to be healers, farmers, technicians, or artists. Do not ignore your calling simply because it is not valued by corporations or respected by those who can’t perceive its value. This is your life, and you must act according to your values, often without any validation or acceptance, sometimes in direct opposition to your friends and family, but you must follow your heart. The creative community will not be whole without your unique voice.

The difference between being utterly misled by false information, being nudged in the general direction, and being precisely guided by an expert cannot be overstated.
We understand that training is the most crucial investment an artist will ever make. It determines the quality of their work and sets a foundation of who they will ultimately be as an artist.
“Taking comedy classes here was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. After four weeks I had a solid understanding of how to turn an “idea” into an actual joke ( you know, with a setup and a punchline and everything,) how to craft a set, and how to get on stage with confidence even when I was a nervous wreck. If you are on the fence at all, all I can say is DO IT!!!!! I promise you won’t regret it.”
